                If interested in participating in a class called “Freedom’s Frontier Sites in Franklin County” contact

Deb Barker, Fr. Co. Historical Society at 242-1232, Class is FREE, Classes will meet Nov 8 & 22 at 1pm at the Franklin County Records & Research Center, 1140 W 7th Terr for a discussion, followed by carpooling to visit all eight of the county sites & one in Cass Co., MO. Pre-registration is required.

            Bus Trip Coming this fall to visit the KSU Historic Costume and Textile Museum. Call Deb Barker at

                7:30pm  Darryl Burton to Speak at Ottawa University, OU Chapel - 1001 S Cedar, You won’t want to miss

                 Darryl’s story. He was wrongfully imprisoned for 24 years before having his conviction overturned in

                 2008. Burton now lives in Kansas City and travels around the country to share his story.

            12:30-2pm  (New) Toys For Kids Ride, This is the 23rd Annual event to donate new toys to ECKAN.

     Toys can be dropped off at Orscheln Farm & Home parking lot, 2008 Princeton Road. At 2pm

     join the parade/ride down Main Street to Forest Park as the donation of toys are presented to

     will be Entertainment, Drawings for Chamber Currency, Reading of the Christmas Story, Tractor pulled

     rides through downtown and an opportunity for children to sit on Santa’s lap. So parents bring your

     cameras! Also an opportunity to help the less fortunate by bringing non perishable food items and or

     a new toy. We will be excepting these donations for ECKAN
