Community Calendar -October 2010

EXHIBITS FOR:  Old Depot Museum:

October – Mid November  “Sac and Fox tribe of Native Americans”

FRIDAY 1

                8am  Chamber Coffee at Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S Hickory. Public is welcome

11am-1:30pm  First Christian Church at 1045 S Hickory St. will be hosting a Community Dinner in the

     Fellowship Hall. Adults $6, Children under 12 $2.50

11am-12pm  Get the Wiggles Out, Ottawa Library, 105 S Hickory, Ages birth-5 years old. Call 242-3080

4-8pm  LADIES NIGHT OUT, Pick up your game card at Crystal Plaza 209 S Main to play the Scavenger

     Hunt. There are 25 participating businesses so put on your walking shoes, grab a few friends and get

     a jump start on your holiday shopping. Sign up for the door prize at each business location and enter

     to win $100 in Chamber Currency when you return your completed game card to the Crystal Plaza.

     Take advantage of our downtown stores being open late for our convenience. Shuttle service will be

     provided from downtown to the Antique Stores North of the river. 

7:30pm Ottawa University Theatre Production “Almost, Maine” 1001 S Cedar, Larry Peters Auditorium,

     Tickets are $8 at the door. OU students and staff are free with I.D.

SATURDAY 2

            8-10am  Support the LifeCare Fundraiser – Breakfast at Applebee’s, 2340 S. Oak, All the pancakes

                 you can eat for $6. Kids 2 and under are free. Tickets are available at LifeCare Center, Didde’s

                 Office Suply, Cornerstone Book Store and at the door at Applebee’s. Call 242-4500 for additional

            4-7pm  The public is invited to attend the Ottawa Community Business Expo at Washburn Towers

                 5th & Main. The Ottawa Community Business Expo is a business to business networking opportunity,

                 as well as a business to community showcase. Meet and learn what businesses, industry and service

                 groups offer in the way of services provided and goods manufactured locally. All community

                 members, from students to the employed and unemployed are welcome to attend this Free

                 community event.
